Week 35

Third Trimester

Almost Ready

Baby is nearly full term. Rapid weight gain continues and most organ systems are mature. You could meet your baby any week now.

This week's tip

💡 Whatever you're feeling right now — excitement, anxiety, exhaustion, love — it's all valid. Write it down if it helps; these feelings are worth remembering.

  • Baby is gaining weight rapidly — up to half a pound per week.
  • Movements may feel different as space becomes more limited.

How you might feel

  • Braxton Hicks may be very frequent and uncomfortable.
  • Pelvic pressure and lightning crotch (sharp shooting pains) are common.
  • Nesting instinct may be very strong.

Things to do this week

  • Group B Strep (GBS) swab test is typically done this week
  • Confirm your hospital bag is fully packed
  • Review labor signs with your partner so you both know when to go in
  • Allow yourself to feel whatever you feel — it's all valid

When to contact your care team

This is general guidance, not medical advice.

  • Contact your care team if contractions are regular (5 minutes apart, lasting 60 seconds).
  • Contact your care team if your water breaks.
