Development
- An egg is released from the ovary during ovulation.
- If sperm is present, fertilization can occur in the fallopian tube.
- A fertilized egg (zygote) begins its journey toward the uterus.
- Cell division begins almost immediately after fertilization.
How you might feel
- You may notice light spotting (mittelschmerz) around ovulation.
- Cervical mucus becomes clearer and more elastic — an egg-white consistency.
- A slight rise in basal body temperature after ovulation.
- Some women feel a brief, one-sided pelvic ache during ovulation.
Things to do this week
- Continue prenatal vitamins daily
- Stay hydrated and maintain balanced nutrition
- Limit caffeine to under 200mg per day
- Note the date ovulation likely occurred
